Camp Milton
Camp Milton was founded in 2018 with the goal of providing a fun home-away-from-home for children and young adults with neuromuscular diseases. Operated by Neuromuscular Access Initiative (NAI) and hosted at Tall Oaks Conference Center in Linwood, KS, Camp Milton is a week-long summer camp where campers have the opportunity to enjoy accessible activities such as swimming, fishing, archery, arts and crafts, a campfire, a talent show, and a dance! In addition to participating in a week that is packed full of activities, campers often find that one of their favorite things about Camp Milton is the opportunity to connect with other kids who share and understand the struggles of living with a neuromuscular disease. Fostering community and encouraging life-long friendship are what make Camp Milton a truly special place!
Campers are supported by a dedicated team of volunteer camp counselors at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that each camper has the full attention of a counselor who is happy to help them with anything and everything they may need or want to do while at Camp Milton. In addition to their counselors, campers are supported by a team of 5 directors, 2 activity coordinators, and 2 nurses. Camp Milton is funded by donations and is free for all children with neuromuscular diseases.
