Camp Milton exists to provide children and youth with neuromuscular diseases an accessible and authentic summer camp experience at no cost to the family. Campers develop life-long relationships and build self-confidence and independence through camp magic.

What is Camp Milton?
This camp officially started over 60 years ago, but amidst a change in funding, it became Camp Milton in 2018 with a new generation of volunteers who took the reins in order to continue the local camp traditions. It allows families to remain in their same support system that they were so comfortable trusting their kids in.
Hosted at Tall Oaks Conference Center in Linwood, KS, Camp Milton is a week-long summer camp where campers have the opportunity to enjoy accessible activities such as swimming, fishing, archery, arts and crafts, a campfire, a talent show, and a dance! In addition to participating in a week that is packed full of activities, campers often find that one of their favorite things about Camp Milton is the opportunity to connect with other kids who share and understand the struggles of living with a neuromuscular disease. Fostering community and encouraging life-long friendship are what make Camp Milton a truly special place!
Campers are supported by a dedicated team of volunteer camp counselors at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that each camper has the full attention of a counselor who is happy to help them with anything and everything they may need or want to do while at Camp Milton. In addition to their counselors, campers are supported by a team of directors, activity coordinators, nurses and many staff assistants. Camp Milton is funded by our generous sponsors and private donations, which in turn means Camp Milton is free for all children with neuromuscular diseases.
